After the confirmed coronavirus infection of a nursing home employee in Herborn in central Hesse, other employees and several residents were tested positive for the pathogen. Seven residents and three employees were infected, said the Lahn-Dill district on Friday. Among them is the first employee tested.’
“The residents concerned are housed in isolation in their rooms in the nursing home and receive medical care from their general practitioners there,” the group said. Six showed mild symptoms that one person had come to a clinic the previous day.
The facility with around 30 residents had been put in quarantine after the employee had tested positive for the Sars-CoV-2 pathogen. The three employees are isolated at home.
In Hesse, seven people have died as a result of Corona. The state now has 2,392 confirmed infections. Frankfurt has the highest rate of 237 infected people.
