KAISERSLAUTERN – Florian Dick had to end his professional career after last season with third division club 1. FC Kaiserslautern due to persistent ankle problems. Now the 35-year-old is returning to Betzenberg in a new role. The former FCK captain and trained IT specialist is currently retraining to become a sports specialist and will gain experience within the framework of the traditional club’s office 20 hours a week over the next 18 months. The former right-back, who has played a total of 200 competitive games for the Red Devils, should go through several areas and supervise certain projects on his own.
“We are very pleased to be able to support Flo Dick in his retraining. His personality and many years of experience in professional football, especially as a FCK player, will also add value to us in addition to the field, ”said Kaiserslautern sports director Boris Notzon to the“ new ”employee, who is already looking forward to the new task:“ FCK is playing a very special role in my life, so it is all the better for me to get to know the club from a different angle. I look forward to new challenges and perspectives. “
