Munich – ski racer Veronique Hronek ends her career. Overall, the multiple German champions in downhill, Super-G and giant slalom competed in 93 World Cup races for the German Ski Association.

Her greatest success was the World Cup bronze medal with the team at the 2013 title bouts in Schladming. “The thought went through my head already during the current season,” said the 28-year-old athlete from Unterwossen in Upper Bavaria. «But now I’ve decided to put an end to it. It was an extremely beautiful and exciting year in racing. »

Hronek has been repeatedly thrown back from injuries. In December 2013, she contracted a cruciate and internal ligament tear in her left knee and had to pause the entire season. After the comeback, she suffered two more cruciate ligament tears.
