Mother and three children killed in Dortmund

– Published on:

The bodies of the 38-year-old woman and the three children aged two, six and eight were found in an apartment in Dortmund, the police and public prosecutor said. According to the initial findings, the investigators consider the father to be the perpetrator.
A spokesman for the public prosecutor’s office said it was “a quadruple homicide and subsequent suicide by the husband”. He also spoke of a “working hypothesis”. The investigation had just started. The current status was loud: “The perpetrator is dead. We have no other suspect.”
You still don’t know anything about the motif and background. The apartment is currently being examined. All bodies should be autopsied. The spokesman said nothing about how the woman and her children were killed. The investigators also did not say whether a farewell letter from the man had been found.
The children killed are one girl and two boys. No further details will be published about the victims, especially since not all other members of the small family could be notified.
