Leipzig – RB Leipzig’s trainer Julian Nagelsmann is involved in the coronavirus crisis in many social areas. The 32-year-old does not want to exaggerate the problems of the Bundesliga.
«I have a lot of buddies who are self-employed. When it’s over with them, it’s over forever in the same way. I want to get away from ego thinking in football. There are many branches of industry, it is even more dramatic, »said Nagelsmann in an interview with« Bild am Sonntag ».
That is why «Germany’s Trainer of the Year 2017» is trying to help. «I try to donate, widely spread. For example, I support a project by Florian Neuhaus (Gladbach professional, ed.), We come from the same region, »says Nagelsmann. The campaign #WIRALLE is currently running at his club RB. “We help social institutions, among other things, so I also make my contribution,” said Nagelsmann.
From an economic point of view, Nagelsmann also does not believe in a transfer ban in summer. “We need the money flow in football, a certain economy,” he said. At the same time, he is thinking of a possible shift in the transfer period, “maybe a little shorter or later in the year. Ultimately there is a market and there are contracts. Corona doesn’t change that, either, »said Nagelsmann.
