Saarbrucken » A number of corona infections are also counted in some nursing homes in Saarland. The Saarbrucken Regional Association reported on Monday evening that there are currently five nursing homes in which a total of more than 80 residents tested positive for the virus. Several employees of institutions are also ill.

Around half of the cases relate to a senior residence in Puttlingen. Homes in Bischmisheim, a house in Saarbrucken and two homes in Kleinblittersdorf are also affected. The facilities are in quarantine.

The association further emphasized that, conversely, almost 90 percent of the 47 senior institutions in the regional association was not yet affected by corona diseases.
