Second corona dead in the Gross-Gerau district

– Published on:

GROSS-GERAU CIRCLE – The second corona death in the Gross-Gerau district was already registered on Saturday. The district administration announced on Tuesday. An 85-year-old woman from the district had died in the Gross-Gerau hospital as a result of a coronavirus infection. The woman, who suffered from serious previous illnesses, was admitted to the clinic at the end of March with symptoms of the new lung disease and died on Saturday.

District Administrator Thomas Will and Head of Health Walter Astheimer expressed their condolences to the bereaved. They appeal to the citizens of the district to take the ban on contact with other people seriously and to keep their distance. “The corona crisis has not yet been overcome. We must continue to discipline the restrictions in order to keep the number of new infections as low as possible.”

On Tuesday, 256 people in the Gross-Gerau district were infected with the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus – five more than the previous day.
