Berlin – The trend for a continuation of the football season in the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga goes according to “Bild” information on May 9th.
This appointment is more likely than a start on May 2, DFB representatives said in a video session. A decision has not yet been made, it said.
The German Football League (DFL) is responsible for scheduling match days in the two highest German divisions. The video session was primarily about the 3rd division, for which the German Football Association (DFB) is responsible. The 3rd league is, therefore, considering continuing its season on May 16.
The “Bild” quoted a DFB spokesman: “When planning, the DFB with the 3rd division and the women’s Bundesliga is also based on the DFL and its models for the operation of the federal leagues. At the moment, however, these are only business games that depend on many external factors.
The federal leagues have stopped playing until at least April 30. The goal is to complete the season by June 30 – a continuation would be possible indefinitely only with ghost games without spectators in the stadium.
