Washington (TEH) – According to data from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, around 95,000 people worldwide have died as a result of the lung disease Covid-19 caused by the Corona Virus, and around 1.6 million people have now been infected with the virus, according to the university.

So far, 350,000 people have recovered from an infection; in the United States, 1783 people died on Thursday alone after being infected with the CoronaVirus. The number of deaths since the epidemic began rose to around 16,500.

According to this, around 460,000 infections have already been detected with the pathogen Sars-CoV-2. The website of the university is updated regularly and therefore shows a higher level of confirmed infections than the official figures of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the US health authority CDC.
