Berlin – Short-term head coach Alexander Nouri said goodbye to Hertha BSC and the fans of the Berlin Bundesliga soccer team in public words.

«An exciting journey is now over. In this very intensive time I experienced a lot and also learned a lot, »wrote Jürgen Klinsmann’s former assistant on Instagram. «I am convinced that we would have been able to stay in the class with a six-point lead, but I respect the decision of the club. In this way, I would like to thank everyone who has supported me in any way in the past few months. »

At the end of November, Nouri came to Berlin from Berlin as an assistant coach from Klinsmann. When the former world champion resigned completely unexpectedly in February, the 40-year-old rose to the boss and was supposed to stay until the end of the season.

In the season break due to the coronavirus pandemic, Hertha signed Bruno Labbadia and separated from Nouri prematurely. In four games under the former coach of Werder Bremen as the boss, the Berliners scored five points and suffered a 0: 5 home defeat against 1. FC Köln.
