India: Minority Affairs minister Naqwi asked to follow the social distance during Ramadan

Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, in view of the wrath of Corona, has directed lockdown instructions and social distances from Indian Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan, possibly starting April 24. But in all honesty, they asked to be worshiped in their own homes.

Minister Naqvi, chairman of the Central Waqf Council, the regulatory body of state waqf boards, said the state’s various waqf boards cover more than 700,000 registered mosques, dargahs, imams, Eid Gahs and other religious institutions across the country.

It should be noted that due to the wrath of Corona, most Muslim countries, including Saudi Arabia, have banned worship, iftar, etc. at religious places during Ramadan.


He said that after talking to various religious leaders, representatives of social and religious organizations, officials of the State Waqf Board, officials, he appealed to them to ensure that the religious, social organization and religious leaders during the month of Ramadan.

Instead of mosques and other religious places, people should fulfill the religious obligations of Ramadan in their own homes.
