Israeli Channel 13 said that some European leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, have sent personal messages to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in recent days about the annexation decisions.

According to the Israeli channel, the European leaders urged Netanyahu not to implement the plan to annex the West Bank and to work on the Palestinian issue only in accordance with international law.

France, through Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Lauderbahn, repeated that its call to the Israeli government is to abandon the plans to annex lands from the West Bank.

Paris warned Israel that “any such decision cannot remain unanswered,” according to Al Ain news agency.

“We call on the Israeli government to refrain from any unilateral measure, especially the annexation of lands,” Ludrian said in statements before the National Assembly.

He added: “Any decision of this kind cannot remain unanswered.”
