A search and strike group of Russian Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) ships discovered and destroyed a conditional enemy submarine in the Sea of Japan/East Sea . This was told to The Eastern Herald by the head of the information support department of the press service of the Eastern Military District for Pacific Fleet Nikolai Voskresensky.

According to Voskresensky, the role of the enemy’s submarine was played by a Russian diesel submarine. Her searches were carried out by the small anti-submarine ships Sovetskaya Gavan and Koriets, and from the air, they were helped by two IL-38 anti-submarine aircraft.

After the submarine was discovered and its coordinates were confirmed by sonar, the anti-submarine depth charges were reset. The general management of maneuvers was carried out from the board of the destroyer “Bystry”.
