Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that his country would have to respond if the European Union takes additional decisions against his country.
This came during a joint press conference with the High Representative for Security and Foreign Policy in the European Union, Josep Borrel, on Monday, in the Turkish capital, Ankara.
“The European Union’s taking additional decisions (against Turkey) will force us to respond, and this will not contribute to finding a solution,” Cavusoglu added.
Cavusoglu noted that his country supports the mediation of the European Union on energy sources in the eastern Mediterranean, provided that it is sincere mediation.
In turn, he said with the High Representative for Security and Foreign Policy of the European Union, Josep Borrell, that the European Union’s relations with Turkey have become the most important issue in the area of ​​the Union’s foreign policy.
