President Vladimir Putin awarded the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, the rank of Major General. This was announced by Kadyrov himself, noting that he was also transferred from the Ministry of Internal Affairs to the Russian Guard.
According to him, the president announced the new rank during a telephone conversation and wished him success in his work.
“This is a high mark, which is very expensive,” Kadyrov said.
In the same post on the social network, Kadyrov explained the origin of the recent photo with machine guns, with which he illustrated his response by the United States to the sanctions imposed on him and his immediate family.
“This is a weapon of the Russian Guard,” the head of Chechnya said.
He explained that, as a military man, he periodically checks the security officials’ compliance with the instructions for storing weapons. That picture was taken just during one of the checks, he said.
“The weapon is legal, the specialists are the best,” Kadyrov said.
