Britain’s Queen Elizabeth formally annulled the knighthood of Harvey Weinstein after he was convicted of sexually assaulting an assistant and raping an actress.

Once one of Hollywood’s most powerful producers, Weinstein, 67, was found guilty of sexually assaulting former assistant Mimi Haleyi in 2006 and raping Jessica Mann, a former actress, in 2013.
More than 80 women, including famous actresses, have accused him of sexual harassment committed in recent decades. He denies all charges and claims the women agreed to have sex.
Prosecutors portrayed him during the trial as a serial predator who manipulated women by promising to open doors to them in the world of film, luring them into hotel rooms and private suites where he would then attack them.
The man said he was like “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, charming in public but often terribly furious when they were alone.”
Weinstein has also been charged with sexual assault in California, and dozens of women have also filed civil lawsuits against him.
