Weismann disappointed that Mueller failed to summon the president to court
Former prosecutor on the team of Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller, who was investigating Russian interference in the US elections, wrote in his new book that the group was unable to fully investigate the financial ties of US President Donald Trump and should have bluntly stated that the opinion, he obstructs justice. He claims that their investigation was limited by the constant threat of Trump’s dissolution of the office and their own unwillingness to be aggressive, writes the American newspaper The Washington Post .
The book also offers the most detailed account of what happened behind the scenes under Mueller during the two years of investigations into Russian interference in the 2016 elections.
