Ukraine – Razumkov does not rule out the adoption of referendum bill in November

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Razumkov does not exclude that in November the parliament will adopt the bill on democracy through an all-Ukrainian referendum in the second reading and as a whole. About it reports Interfax-Ukraine citing Razumkov’s comment.

“As for the bill on a national referendum, on the rule of the people … Now it is being prepared for the second reading. I think that in the near future, even in November … It is one of the priorities … As soon as it is ready, we will consider it,” he said.

Presidential bill “On democracy through an all-Ukrainian referendum” Verkhovna Rada adopted in first reading June 18. The draft law says that four questions can be submitted to the all-Ukrainian referendum. The document also states that it is impossible to submit to an all-Ukrainian referendum.

Note that in 2018, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine recognized inconsistent with the Basic Law, adopted during the time of Viktor Yanukovych, the law “On the All-Ukrainian Referendum” of November 6, 2012.
