The Executive of Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte decided that it will maintain for one more week the restriction on movements without justification between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., already in force at the national level until January 7, with which it seeks to limit night outings that may lead to new outbreaks of coronavirus.

At the same time, as approved by a Cabinet meeting at local midnight this Tuesday, the Executive decided to prohibit until January 15 movements between the 20 regions of the country that are not justified by work or health.

According to the new measures published on the website of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, on Thursday the 7th and Friday the 8th, openings of openings and restaurants will be allowed again until 6:00 p.m., after the two closing days scheduled for today and tomorrow, considered ” red zone ” by the festive period of Kings.

After the 48-hour window for the gastronomy sector, on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th the country will once again be classified as an ” orange zone “; with the opening of bars and restaurants only allowed in “take away” or home delivery mode.

From Monday 11 to Friday 15, the gastronomic businesses will be able to attend again within their premises, although always until 18.

As reported by the public network Rai, as of Friday 15, the country could once again be governed by the system of yellow, orange, and red zones, in reference to epidemiological risk, with the introduction of a new “white zone”, which rewards regions with the lowest Rt transmissibility index and allow them to open museums and theaters.

The new government measures also contemplate that the secondary school that involves students from 13 to 19 years old, who are more likely to travel by public means of transport, restart classes on Monday the 11th and not on Thursday the 7th, as originally planned.

In any case, northern regions with a high percentage of infections, such as Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia, have already announced that higher education centers will not open their doors until the end of the month.

For initial education and in the so-called middle school, until the age of 13, return to the classrooms remains in effect from this Thursday.

Since the immunization campaign began on Sunday, December 27, Italy has vaccinated 178,939 people against the coronavirus, as part of a free and voluntary plan by which it hopes to reach between 10 and 15 million inhabitants before April.
