U.S. government members discussed the possibility of ousting President Donald Trump after his supporters stormed Congress, several U.S. media reported.

Their discussion revolved around the 25th amendment to the US Constitution, which allows the vice president and the majority in the government to declare the president incapable of doing his job, CNN, BBC , CBS, and ABC report, citing anonymous sources.

All Democrats in the judicial committee of the American House of Representatives sent a letter to Pence asking him to activate the 25th Amendment in the interest of democracy.

For them, the president is “mentally ill and unable to accept the results of the 2020 elections.”

The Washington Post writes that he is responsible for inciting the uprising and that he has proved that he “poses a serious threat to democracy.”

US President-elect Joe Biden wrote on Twitter:
