The famous Hollywood actor Chuck Norris has denied information that appeared in the media that he participated in the storming of the Capitol.

“I recently learned that there was a Chuck Norris lookalike during the Capitol riots in Washington. It wasn’t me and I wasn’t there, ”the 80-year-old actor tweeted.

Chuck Norris stressed that he stands for law and order, and in America “there is no place for violence of any kind.”

The assault on the US Congress building took place on January 6. Supporters of outgoing President Donald Trump burst there. They interrupted a meeting of both chambers of parliament, at which the deputies of the House of Representatives and the Senate were to approve the results of the past presidential elections. As a result of the incident, five people died, more than 160 cases were initiated.

The riots in the Capitol were condemned by Trump’s wife Melania. She stressed that violence is unacceptable and expressed condolences for the loss of life.

Chuck Norris is the hero of the Internet meme “Facts About Chuck Norris”. They are invented parodying clichés of action films, absurd statements illustrating excessive strength, possession of martial arts, as well as the attractiveness and masculinity of the actor. An example of such a joke is “When Chuck Norris is hit with his head on concrete, the concrete is bleeding, not Chuck Norris.” And in the film “The Expendables 2” the actor’s character reproduced the “fact” that the cobra that bit him died in agony.
