Joe Biden, as the new president of the United States, signed 17 decisions in the Oval Office.

The first three relate to the coronavirus pandemic.

Specifically, Biden launches challenge “100 days of wearing masks,” asking Americans to wear masks 100 days. Requires masks and physical distancing in federal buildings and premises and calls on the state and local authorities to do the same. Then, Biden stops the withdrawal of the United States of the World Health Organization (WHO), and Dr. Anthony Fauci becomes the head of the delegation to the WHO.

It also creates the position of Covid-19 Pandemic Response Coordinator, who will report directly to Biden and direct and manage efforts to produce and distribute vaccines and medical equipment.

The fourth and fifth decisions concern the economy. The new president of the USA extends the existing national moratorium on evictions and executions at least until March 31. In addition, it extends the existing break on the student loan and interest payments for all Americans until at least September 30.

The sixth and seventh decisions concern the environment. First of all, America is rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement, and this process will take 30 days. Also, Biden is shutting down the Keystone XL pipeline and directing agencies to review and change more than 100 environmental-related decisions by Donald Trump.

The eighth and ninth decisions concern fairness. Biden abolished the Commission of the Trump administration from 1776 and ordered all agencies to reconsider their actions in order to ensure racial equality. In addition, he signed a memorandum that prevents discrimination in the workplace based on sexual orientation or gender identity.

The tenth decision concerns the census by which Biden demands that those who do not have citizenship be included in the list and distribution of representatives of Congress.

The next five decisions, namely 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15, relating to immigration. The immigration policy of DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) is confirmed after Trump’s efforts to abolish protection for undocumented people who were brought to the country as children. Then, Biden lifts the restrictions of the Trump administration for entering the United States for passport holders from seven countries with a Muslim-majority population.

In the next decision, Biden also cancels Trump’s expansive implementation of immigration within the United States. The new president of the USA stops the construction of the border wall by repealing the national declaration on emergency situations, which is used for its financing. It continues to postpone deportations and work permits for people from Liberia, who will have a safe haven in the United States until June 30, 2022.

The penultimate decision is about ethics. Namely, Biden demands from all those appointed to executive positions to suppress the ethical promise which prohibits them from acting in their personal interest and requires them to support the independence of the Ministry of Justice.

The last or 17th decision refers to a regulation ordering the Director of the Office of Management and Budget to develop recommendations for the modernization of the regulatory rulebook.
