Today on the occasion of International Women’s day, students of Assam Agricultural university 4th year undergoing Rural agricultural work experience program with the help of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Jorhat celebrated the day with a small cultural program starting with a chorus by the students.

Agripreneur Mrs.Anita Gogoi and two of the special guests Mrs.Barnali Baruah and Dr.Archana Bhattacharjee motivated the women of the area with their valuable speech.

Also, few invited dignitaries Dr. Aparajita Borah, Dr. RN Sarmah, Dr. Sontara Kalita, and Mr. Sameeron Bhattacharjee (Programme Supervisor) were present and they addressed the students and the people of the village especially the women. The students of Assam Agricultural university Kishor Jyoti Bhuyan, Kristi Rekha Puzari, Bhuyasi Sarmah, and Krishna Sarma performed songs, dances, and poems on behalf of the students and finally, the Agri Information Centre was inaugurated by Mrs. Anita Gogoi and Mrs.Barnali Baruah.

The information center is full of models, charts, and flex related to agriculture and finally, the day ended on a positive note.
