Renewable energy sources, led by wind and solar energy, accounted for 43 percent of Turkey’s total electricity production in 2020.
According to information collected by Anatolia, on Monday, from the London-based “Amber” Center for Climate and Energy Research, electricity production in Turkey reached 302 terawatt-hours last year.
The information indicated that 57 percent of Turkey’s electric power generation comes from sources, such as coal and natural gas, while 43 percent comes from renewable confiscations.
The information shows that Turkey ranks fifth among the G20 countries, in the production of renewable energy.
It is noteworthy that the production of electric energy from wind and solar energy in Turkey has tripled since 2015.
