The official Saudi Press Agency said that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman made a phone call, Monday, to His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, to discuss the Green Middle East initiative announced by bin Salman, reports the Saudi Gazette.

The agency said that King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein welcomed the initiatives of the Saudi crown prince, stressing Jordan’s readiness to cooperate with Saudi Arabia in everything that achieves these initiatives’ goals.

The initiative, in partnership with the countries of the region, aims to meet the environmental challenges in the region, improve the quality of life there, and implement the largest reforestation program in the world, which will contribute to recovering millions of hectares of degraded land, in addition to achieving a reduction in global carbon levels.
