French authorities have revealed the Easter weekend arrest of an 18-year-old woman suspected of planning an attack on a church, reports Indian WION .

New details have emerged about the teenager, who was living in a popular housing project in Beziers, in southern France, and is suspected of planning an attack targeting nearby Montpellier during Easter.

French counterterrorism investigators said on Thursday that during a search of her home, they found a picture of the teacher who was killed in October after showing his students cartoons of the Prophet of Islam .

The officials also said that bomb-making materials were found in the apartment, as well as pictures of “armed jihadists,” a diagram of a nearby church and handwritten notes referring to the Nazis and ISIS.


The teen, whose identity has not been revealed, was previously known to the authorities.

The authorities confirmed that no explosives were found .
