Tom Cruise’s bags worth thousands of euros were stolen in England, as the American star is filming the seventh season of the “Mission: Impossible” films, according to the newspaper The Sun .

This baggage was inside his security guard’s car. It was robbed on Monday night, Tuesday, in front of a hotel in Birmingham where he stayed, according to the tabloid newspaper.

“We received a report of the theft of a BMW X7 on Church Street in Birmingham in the early hours of Tuesday morning, August 24,” a West Midlands Police spokesperson said, without confirming the identity of the vehicle’s owner.

The car was found shortly after, according to the police spokesman, who explained that “the investigation is still ongoing,” especially based on “surveillance camera recordings in the area where the car was parked.”

But “everything that was inside the car has disappeared,” according to a source in the newspaper “The Sun”, referring to “some luggage and belongings” of the 59-year-old actor.

The newspaper revealed that the thieves erased and reproduced the signal sent from the working contactless key in this luxury car, two minutes away from a police station.

And “The Sun” reported that “this trick, which rises to the filters of (Mission Impossible) movie scenarios, allowed the gang to escape by car in front of the eyes of the security staff.”

Tom Cruise, known for doing most of the stunts in his films, has caused a stir this week in the Midlands (Northern England).

He was seen filming several scenes from the seventh installment of the “Mission Impossible” series, in which he plays the role of intelligence agent Ethan Hunt.
