Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United player, topped the list of the most expensive players in the world for the 2021-2022 season, while Egyptian player Mohamed Salah ranked fifth.

This came according to the list of the American magazine Forbes of the most paid footballers in the world for the year 2021, which was published on its website, today, Wednesday.

Ronaldo, 36, snatched the top spot on the list of the world’s most expensive players with revenues of $125 million, during the 2021-2022 season, of which $55 million came from personal partnerships with brands including Nike, Herbalife and Clear, and his CR7 brand portfolio, which includes perfumes. And underwear, glasses, hotels and gyms.

In second place was the Argentine star, Lionel Messi (34), the Paris Saint-Germain player, with an annual revenue of 110 million dollars.

The Brazilian player Neymar, 29, of the French club Paris Saint-Germain, ranked third in the list of the most expensive players, with $ 95 million.

The French star, Kylian Mbappe, 22, a Paris Saint-Germain player, came fourth after Neymar, with a return of 43 million dollars.

He was followed by the Egyptian football star, Mohamed Salah, 29, a Liverpool player, with revenues of 42 million dollars, according to the American magazine.

The Polish player, Robert Lewandowski, player of Bayern Munich, ranked sixth in the list, followed by the Spanish player, Andres Iniesta, player of Vissel Kobe.
