A delegate from The Eastern Herald Shivank Dwivedi, the Head of Collaborations, and Muzaffar Ahmad Noori Bajwa, the Editor-in-chief spoke with His Excellency Tomasz Zaleski, chairman of the board of the private office of HH Shiekh Ahmed Bin Faisal Al Qasimi. He gave some insight into the operations under his command.
Muzaffar Ahmad Noori Bajwa: The UAE always remains in the news everywhere in the world. What is the role of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Faisal Al Qasimi in bridging the gap between the western world and the Arab world?
H E Tomasz Zaleski said, “We are very open to global alliances with our emirates. In recent years the UAE attracted thousands of businesses around the world and we’re continuing in the process.”
Recently, A top-level UAE delegation visited Washington, DC comprising public and private sector representatives, headed by H.E Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy; and with the participation of H.E. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade. They discussed the next stage goals of US and UAE trade relations.
The UAE delegation includes H.E. Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development; Engr. Saed Alawadi, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Industries & Exports; Mohamed Juma Al Musharrkh, Chief Executive Officer of the Sharjah FDI Office (Invest in Sharjah); and Fahad Al Gergawi, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Investment Development Agency.
H E Tomasz Zaleski said that the Emirates and especially the Kingdom of Dubai and Sharjah are very passionate and attracting thousands of entrepreneurs. He further said that we facilitate their visit to our emirate and support them at every level of their establishment in the UAE.
The business and trade circles in the UAE consider him a gentleman and he is known for his philanthropic approach towards different initiatives.
In an article published in the Corporate Investment Times, H E Tomasz Zaleski described some recent developments in the business environment. He pointed out that Dubai attracts 15.93 million visitors every year making the kingdom a gateway connecting 2.4 billion consumers across the Middle East, the Indian Subcontinent, and East Africa. He added that the Emirate has attracted visitors and businesses with the recent updates that enable 100% foreign business ownership and lucrative tax benefits.
He also pointed out that today Dubai is the world’s top city for visitor spending, amounting to $30.8 billion. 100% repatriation of capital investment and total profit earned. H E Zaleski also noted that the Emirate offers a conducive atmosphere for business owners which is better than most of the world.
Dubai, the land of unlimited possibilities. Yes, this is what the ruler of Dubai calls it. In an interview with an English news TV, HH. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum said that he wants his people to enjoy what Europeans can enjoy. In the Arab world, he secures a very important place and to the world, he is a visionary. A desert becoming the land of skyscrapers and then a hub of the world’s economy is the result of Dubai’s ruler’s farsighted vision.
The Africa-Dubai summit, held on 29-30 September 2021, is another milestone in international affairs. H E Tomasz Zaleski has developed great relationships with top business people around the world. H E Zaleski said, “We have great hopes from this event and surely this event will catch the attention of world leaders. The Africa-Dubai Summit will bring a new change and hope to Africa.”

H E Tomasz Zaleski said, “The Emirati people are very welcoming. We don’t see any disputes or conflicts of interest when it comes to the relationships between Emiratis and expatriates in our country. This is the character of Emirati people that attracts others to this country and this character reflects in our leadership as well. The visionary leadership of the Dubai Ruler, His Royal Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is extraordinary and we hope one day very soon the world will see his ideas growing everywhere around the world.”
“We want to encourage more women leaders and entrepreneurs. Dubai has given them special attention and now, Alhamdulillah, we see more women leaders are coming forward and this is what we wanted,” said Tomasz Zaleski in response to the question about Women Empowerment.
