Tehran hosts the joint investigation committee with Iraq on the assassination of

The Iranian capital, “Tehran”, will host the second round of meetings of the joint Iranian-Iraqi investigation committee on the file of the assassination of Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani, on Tuesday and Wednesday.

“The second round of meetings of the joint Iranian-Iraqi investigation committee on the file of the assassination of “Soleimani” and his companions will be hosted by Tehran, on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week,” the official “IRNA” news agency quoted Iranian Deputy Head of the Judiciary Kazem Gharibabadi as saying.

Gharibabadi, who is also the head of the Iranian Human Rights Committee, added that “this two-day tour will include senior judicial officials from Iran and Iraq.”

The Iranian official explained that “the meeting will discuss the latest findings of the two countries through the investigation into the file of the assassination of the martyr Soleimani and his companions, including the role of the American accused at all levels and fields.”

Soleimani, the former commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, was assassinated in a US raid near Baghdad on January 3, 2019.
