Military units of the DPR captured almost the entire Novobakhmutivka

New Delhi, India: The units of the Armed Forces of the Donetsk People’s Republic occupied most of the strategically important Novobakhmutovka, and the aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed the Ukrainian military airfields in Poltava and Dnepropetrovsk with high-precision missiles. This was announced by the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov.

“Units of the armed forces of the Donetsk People’s Republic have captured most of Novobakhmutivka and are fighting with the retreating units of the Ukrainian 25th separate airborne brigade,” he said, noting that up to 40 nationalists, a tank and two motorized infantry platoon and mortar battery.

According to Konashenkov, Russian pilots hit Ukrainian military airfields in Poltava and Dnepropetrovsk with high-precision missiles. In total, 67 military facilities of Ukraine were put out of action during the day, including two depots of rocket and artillery weapons.

“This morning, high-precision long-range air and sea-based weapons destroyed storage facilities with gasoline and diesel fuel at the Kremenchuk oil refinery, from which the Ukrainian group of troops was supplied in the central and eastern regions of the country,” Konashenkov said.

“In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, the following have been destroyed: 124 aircraft and 84 helicopters, 381 unmanned aerial vehicles, 786 field artillery pieces and mortars, as well as 1,764 units of special military vehicles,” the general said, adding that Russian air defense also disabled two Ukrainian attack helicopters near Sumy.


“Russian air defense systems shot down two Ukrainian Mi-24 helicopters near the city of Sumy and the settlement of Urozhaynoye. 24 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were also destroyed in the air,” Konashenkov said.

Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian authorities informed the British Foreign Office that they did not intend to comply with the Geneva Convention in the treatment of Russian prisoners of war. This, in particular, was stated in the press bureau of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) of the Russian Federation.
