Russia’s RIA Novosti news agency has been blocked in Azerbaijan for publishing “separatist tendencies”, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport announced on Saturday.
–Â Access to the RIA Novosti agency has been blocked due to the publication of separatist tendencies against the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan – the ministry said in a statement.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan also issued a statement stating that the agency’s media coverage does not correspond to the spirit of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Russia.
This came after a news agency published an interview with Artak Beglaryan, one of Karabakh’s separatist leaders, using the term “Nagorno-Karabakh Republic” and calling Artak Beglaryan a “state minister”.
