Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at a congress of the ruling Justice and Development Party said European leaders “panic over the war in Ukraine”.
– At a time when our country has been successfully dealing with illegal migration from Syria for 11 years, we are noticing panic in Europe due to the Russian-Ukrainian crisis. We pray for a quick exit of the world from this critical period – Erdogan said.
He also said Turkey would continue to take measures to ensure that none of its citizens feel abandoned.
He also stressed that he would continue to work on foreign policy toward Syria, Iraq, Libya, Karabakh, and the Balkans, according to a statement issued by his cabinet.
Erdogan also stressed that the promises given to his country on membership in the European Union have not been fulfilled. Erdogan emphasized that Turkey is using its own potential the most, while the world is still facing a struggle with economic difficulties and a security crisis.
