Who will win the T20 World Cup in 2022?

– Published on:

The 8th edition of the men’s ICC T20 World Cup has begun, and Indian cricket fans are no doubt excited to witness the country’s performance in the upcoming tournament. 2022 has been a great year for cricket fans, with a lot of content to be watched, starting from the IPL earlier this year, followed by the men’s and women’s Asia Cup.

The T20 World Cup started from October 16th and is being played in Australia until November 13th. The top 8 teams have been divided into Group A and Group B. These top 8 teams will be playing some of the most anticipated matches of the tournament.

In this article, we will take a look at the probable winners of the upcoming T20 World Cup and their possible performance in the tournament.

Team Australia

As the home team, the Australian cricket team, led by Aaron Finch, has a great chance of winning the World Cup. With one of the best batting lineups in the world, the Australian cricketers are ready to take on teams on their own turf.

Australian batters such as Maxwell, Finch, and Wade are known for their amazing skills. Additionally, Australian pace bowlers will also put up an impressive front against any other teams fighting against them.

Even most Indian cricket betting sites agree and have placed Australia at the top of their odds to win the World Cup this year. With odds as low as 4.0 on many bookmakers, Australia seems like a solid candidate to take the ICC trophy home.

Team India

“Can team India do better than last year?” is probably the question on the mind of every Indian fan. In the last edition of the T20 World Cup, team India was not at its peak performance, losing against Pakistan and New Zealand. However, this year seems like a renewed chance for the team – India may yet sneak its way to victory.

This year, under a new captain, Rohit Sharma, the Indian team looks rock-solid. With Virat Kohli having given up captaincy, we can expect him to single-mindedly focus on his performance, which could get us the win we are looking for.

If India can keep up its performance, the team might have a good chance of winning the Cup. The bookmaker odds for India currently stand at 4.3, which is not too far behind Australia.

Pakistan

Pakistan is one team that can no longer be ignored, after their chilling performance last season. Team Pakistan made it all the way to the semi-finals with their skill and was only defeated by Australia.

With such discipline as well as skilled players such as Babar Azam, Shadab Khan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi, this team has a lot to prove in this tournament as well.

Who will win the T20 World Cup 2022?

There is obviously no way to answer this question with any certainty. But one thing is for certain, is that there are many talented teams, with much to prove, participating. Both Australia and India are frontrunners to win the Cup but teams like Pakistan cannot be ignored either.

We hope that Rohit Sharma’s brand-new captaincy will allow the Indian cricket team to outperform themselves and secure victory for their countless fans!
