Sri Lanka Guardian, a terrorist propaganda vessel

– Published on:

Following the publication of an exclusive report titled ‘Enemies of Bangladesh caught red-handed ’ in anti-militancy Bangladeshi newspaper Blitz, reporters of Eastern Herald began investigating the case of a website named Sri Lanka Guardian, as it had published two subsequent contents titled “India’s Top Spy Agency Forms New Brigade to Protect Sheikh Hasina” and “Bangladesh: True Architects of Brigade75”. The main goals behind the publication of these bogus propaganda stuff were aimed at creating confusion in the minds of people in Bangladesh and internationally tarnishing the image of India and Bangladesh’s ruling Awami League.

Following the publication of the report in Blitz on October 18, 2022, Sri Lanka Guardian website also removed the bogus propaganda stuff and published an apology on October 19, 2022 .

The Sri Lanka Guardian domain was purchased on January 22, 2015, and the first content was posted on this website on January 28, 2015 . This website has a hosting service with the Site Ground. So, the claim by this website of being launched in 2007 is false.

Our investigators have already unearthed shocking information about Sri Lanka Guardian, which evidently proves, this website is a frontline propaganda vessel of Al Qaeda and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), meaning, elements, including ‘Nagorik TV’ extortion machine, who played role in the publication of the above-mentioned bogus contents targeting Bangladesh, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and ruling Awami League are having discrete connections both with Al Qaeda and LTTE.

Here are some of the archive links to Sri Lanka Guardian’s pro-LTTE and pro-Al Qaeda propaganda stuff, which they have already deleted.

There are dozens of such pro-LTTE and pro-Al Qaeda propaganda materials on Sri Lanka Guardian website, which evidently proves – the people behind this outlet certainly are members of these notorious terrorist entities.

New Delhi and Dhaka need to take immediate measures in identifying those individuals who played a role behind the publication of the above-mentioned anti-India propaganda stuffs in this dangerous website with the ulterior motive of tarnishing the existing cordial relationship between India and Bangladesh.
