The results of the championship of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in cross-country skiing and winter biathlon were summarized

From January 23 to 27, Perm hosted the championship of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in cross-country skiing and winter biathlon. 250 participants from 43 local authorities and departmental educational establishments fought for the right to superiority during the week. The competitions were held in several stages – the best ones were determined in individual races, mass start, relay and shooting.

On January 27, the names of the winners were announced at the Dynamo ski base.

In the team ranking with up to 3,000 employees, the best results in cross-country skiing were achieved by athletes of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Moscow region, second place was taken by the team of the Service Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Republic of Udmurtia, and third place was taken by the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Tula region.

Among territorial bodies with more than 3,000 employees, the best results in the team event in cross-country skiing were presented by athletes of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Komi Republic, the second place was taken by the team of GUFSIN of Russia in the Perm Territory, the third place was taken by GUFSIN of Russia in the Kemerovo – Kuzbass region.

Among educational organizations, the Academy of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia became the winner of the ski races, the Samara Law Institute of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia won silver, the team of the Vologda Institute of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia won the third place.

Yulia Chekaleva (Vologda Institute of Law and Economics) showed the best result among women in the 5 km classic style race, Olga Sergeeva (UFSIN from Russia in the Moscow region) brought silver to her team, Olga Vokueva (UFSIN of Russia in the Komi Republic) became the bronze medalist of the competition.

Ermil Vokuev (UFSIN of Russia in the Komi Republic) won first place in the men’s race at a distance of 10 km in the classic style, Vladislav Osipov (Academy of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia) took second place, Alexei Zubkov (Samara Law Institute of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia) took the third step of the podium.

Yulia Chekaleva (Vologda Institute of Law and Economics) was the first in the women’s freestyle cross-country competition in the women’s 5 km race, Olga Sergeeva (UFSIN from Russia in the Moscow region) brought the money to her team, Olga Vakueva (UFSIN of Russia in the Komi Republic).

In the freestyle at a distance of 15 km for men, the winner was Vladislav Vaneev (UFSIN from Russia in the Komi Republic), Yuri Gavrilov (GUFSIN from Russia in the Perm Territory) came second at the line of finish, and the bronze went to Kirill Vichuzhanin (UFSIN of Russia in the Republic of Udmurtia).

The winner of the mixed relay was the team of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Komi Republic, the second place went to the skiers of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Moscow region, on the third step of the podium were the athletes of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Perm Territory.

In the biathlon of the winter service, the best results among territorial bodies with up to 3,000 employees were in the first place the team of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Moscow region, in second place the team of the Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Tula region of the Moscow region, the third place was won by representatives of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Republic of Udmurtia.

The first place in the winter service biathlon among territorial bodies with a staff of more than 3000 employees was taken by the team of GUFSIN of Russia in the Perm Territory, the second place was won by the team of GUFSIN from Russia in the Kemerovo region – Kuzbass, and the bronze went to the participants of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Kirov region.

In the winter service biathlon team championship among the educational organizations of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, the team of the Vladimir Law Institute of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia became the best, second place was taken by representatives of the Samara Law Institute of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, the team of the Academy of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia closed the first three.

In the individual ranking of winter service biathlon for men, Yuri Gavrilov (GUFSIN from Russia in the Perm Territory) became the best, Alexander Menshikov (GUFSIN from Russia in the Kemerovo region) took second place, Andrey Kalsin (GUFSIN from Russia in the Kemerovo – Kuzbass region) won bronze.

In the women’s service biathlon, Olga Sergeeva (UFSIN from Russia in the Moscow region) won the silver medal, Alexandra Gavrilova (GUFSIN from Russia in the Perm territory) won silver and Ekaterina Rolzing (GUFSIN of Russia in the Kemerovo – Kuzbass region) took the honorable third place.

The Acting Head of GUFSIN of Russia in the Perm Territory summed up the results of the championship of FSIN of Russia and thanked the participants for the great work done:

– Sport tempers the will, forms the character, sport is friendship. These qualities are necessary for an employee of the prison system to succeed in the professional field. Our service is not easy, and we are very happy that our employees manage to demonstrate high results by combining service and sport.
