The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov, during a visit to Grozny, presented the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, with a nominal saber and in return received a dagger with a portrait of the first president of the Chechnya, Akhmat Kadyrov. This was reported on the Chechen leader’s Telegram channel.
In the capital of the republic, the minister presented state and departmental awards to employees of the department. Abdul Elmurzaev, deputy head of surveillance activities and preventive work of the Republican Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, received a medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, II degree, Shamkhan Kubaev, the head of the guard, received a certificate of honor from the President of Russia.
During the visit, guests and hosts laid flowers at the monuments of Chechnya’s first president, deceased employees and Hero of Russia, Army General Yevgeny Zinichev, Kurenkov’s predecessor as minister.
“It was very nice to receive a memorable gift from the hands of a dear guest in the form of a personalized saber,” the head of the republic wrote.
