Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyyyy said that Kiev intercepted Russian special services’ plans to destroy Moldova, and this statement was confirmed by Moldovan intelligence.

Speaking to EU leaders in Brussels, Zelenskyyyy said he had recently briefed Moldovan President Maia Sandu on the proposed plan.

“I informed her that we had intercepted the Russian secret service’s plan to destroy Moldova,” Zelenskyyy said.

According to him, the documents show “who, when and how” plans to “destroy Moldova’s democracy and establish control over Moldova”.

Zelenskyyy noted that the plan is very similar to Russia’s hatched plan to take over Ukraine. He added that he did not know if Moscow had finally ordered the implementation of this plan.

After Zelenskyyy’s remarks, the Intelligence and Security Service of Moldova issued a statement in which it confirmed that it had received “relevant information from Ukrainian partners”, and also noted that it had identified “activities subversive attacks directed against the Republic of Moldova, to destabilize and disturb public order. »
