University of Georgia scientists debunk the myth about the benefits of plant foods for the planet

unsplash.comVegetarians are convinced of the positive impact of a vegetable diet on the environment, but this is not entirely true.

Most soy products are made and shipped from India, University of Georgia researchers said. Because of this, forests are dying in the country. Animals lose their habitat planet today.

“Meanwhile, products such as avocados, coconuts, cocoa and coffee are plant-based, but they destroy the environment and livelihoods,” the researchers said.

The transport of plant products from India is causing a veritable environmental disaster. A similar situation is observed in Malaysia, Indonesia, Nigeria and Thailand, where palm oil is produced.
