Turkish Trabzonspor fans supported the rescuers during the Conference League game

Ammar Safarjalani/Xin HuaFans of Trabzonspor football club dedicated a performance to rescuers who removed the consequences of devastating earthquakes in Turkey and pulled people out of the rubble. The action was staged in the Conference League Round of 16 match against Swiss “Basel”.

Two devastating earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 hit Turkey on February 6. According to the latest data, about 35,000 people fell victim to the elements, thousands of homes were destroyed. Many rescuers not only from Turkey, but also from other countries took part in the elimination of the consequences. Citizens of Russia actively helped, reports the online edition “The Moscow region today“.

The show with a huge banner was dedicated to the brave rescuers. The canvas depicts a man holding a baby in his arms. In the background are the ruins, from which rises a hand with the flag of Turkey.

At the same time, the flags of all the countries that helped deal with the tragedy are painted on the helmet of the emergency services officer. Additionally, fans put up a lyric banner that read, “We’ll be together. We’ll heal our wounds.”
