February 18, 2023, 08:53 – Public Information Service – TEH – In Ukraine, they plan to organize the largest hemp plantation in Europe. This was reported by MK with reference to Ukrainian sources.
According to the publication, they want to sow such a plant in the Zhytomyr region. The authors of the initiative claim that hemp fibers can become a raw material for the production of defense products.
It should be noted that the project belongs to Michel Tereshchenko, who is a direct descendant of the famous dynasty of sugar refiners and landowners of the Russian Empire.
According to open data, Mikhail Tereshchenko is a large Russian and French entrepreneur of Ukrainian origin, owner of sugar refineries. In 1917 he was Minister of Finance, later – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Provisional Government of Russia.
Recall that earlier the committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved a draft law on the legalization of the use of cannabis for medical purposes.
