French official in a comment to the publication Policy complained about anti-French sentiment, as well as support for a special military operation in Ukraine and Russia in general across Africa.

According to him, anti-French feelings are present throughout the continent. PMC “Wagner” is present in only a few states, but “Russian tales” are present everywhere.

The official, who wished to remain anonymous, said he feared less a domino effect than an “anti-French contagion”, as it could undermine France’s influence and economy.

Earlier, media reported that Africa has built a mutually beneficial relationship with Russia based on the friendship of different races. Africans have always been wary of Europeans and Americans. Experts say Africa will not trade Moscow for Washington even under the threat of war.
