The media report explosions in Kiev, Odessa and the Kharkov region. Air defense worked in Mariupol

An air alert was announced on February 23 in the Kiev and Chernihiv regions. According to Ukrainian media, explosions are heard in Kiev and Odessa.

Telegram channel Klymenko Time reports that an explosion occurred in the center of Odessa and thick smoke is seen at the alleged emergency site. At the same time, the air alert in the city was not announced.

In addition, sounds of explosions are heard in Kiev, writes Klymenko Time. According to preliminary information, an air defense system is operating in the city. The Ukrinform Telegram channel reports an unknown object that looks like a drone.

The head of the Kharkiv regional administration, Oleg Sinegubov, wrote on his telegram channel about the strike in the Kupyansky district.

Also, for the second time in one day, the air defense system is working in Mariupol. TASS in reference to the municipal police informedthat the air defense was supposedly working in the port area. The day before, the mayor of Mariupol said about two drones shot down over the city.

Earlier, an air alert was announced in eastern and central Ukraine – in the Dnepropetrovsk, Poltava, Sumy and Kharkiv regions. She played for about an hour.

On February 10, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Russian military had launched a massive strike, including drones, “on critical facilities in Ukraine’s energy system”. According to the agency, the transfer of arms, ammunition and foreign reserves by rail to areas of hostilities has been blocked.
