The adoption by the European Union of the tenth package of sanctions against Russia is blocked by Poland. The planned restrictive measures seem too lenient in Warsaw, reports NEWS.ru.
The Poles insist on tougher restrictions, but other EU members disagree. The final decision on whether the republic will maintain its firm position or accept a compromise will be taken by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
Hungary has previously openly advocated easing sanctions on some Russian businessmen. Nor does he support bans on the Russian nuclear industry.
