Pentagon: plans to modernize two NATO air bases in Romania
The Pentagon said the department soon plans to modernize two airbases in the NATO bloc, located on the territory of Romania. Ude appeared contracts for the implementation of the plan.
The United States wants to renovate the airport. Mihail Kogalnichanu and Kympi-Turziy Air Base. Thus, a cargo area for loading aircraft, taxiways and a number of engineering structures should appear at the airport. And the air base will be equipped with a communications infrastructure.
It is still not clear why the Americans decided to carry out this modernization. However, it became known earlier that when transferring weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they will be located on the territory of the nearest country.
In addition, it is possible that these measures in Romania are not related to the supply of military equipment to Ukraine, but are aimed at strengthening the armament of the NATO bloc.
Earlier in Britain they said that Russia has started a new stage of a special operation.
