According to the publication, this fact makes the Alliance cautious about the prospect of a direct confrontation with Moscow.
“Nuclear weapons ensured that NATO would stay on the sidelines,” write the journalists.
At the same time, the authors of the material recognized that Russia’s possession of nuclear weapons is its great advantage in solving geopolitical problems.

Recall that on February 24, Russian leader Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special military operation in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, former Verkhovna Rada deputy Ilya Kiva has admitted that Russia could use small nuclear warhead missiles to disrupt the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ spring offensive in Crimea. In his opinion, ballistic missiles with a small nuclear charge will be used.
