Another wave of refugees from Ukraine could cover Poland in the near future, Deputy Interior Minister Pavel Shefernaker said.
Recently, Polish customs officials recorded a record number of border crossings from Ukraine. Thus, since February 13, 32,000 more refugees have entered Poland than they have left.
The department’s representative noted that almost 1.4 million Ukrainians who arrived last year plan to stay in Poland “for a long time”. At the same time, local authorities found at the start of winter that the country could only accommodate around 100,000 new refugees, reports Frankfurter Allgemeine.
