A seismologist predicted a powerful earthquake in Kamchatka and the Kuril Islands in early March

A seismologist from the Netherlands, Frank Hougerbits, predicted a powerful earthquake with a magnitude greater than seven or even eight in the region of Kamchatka and the Kuril Islands in early March. Forecast published February 27 on the YouTube channel of the scientific organization Solar System Geometry Survey (SSGEOS).

In a February 3 Twitter post, Frank Hoogebits warned on a probable earthquake of magnitude 7.5 or more in Turkey, Syria and the Middle East. Three days later, on February 6, an earthquake hit the border between Turkey and Syria, killing more than 44,000 people.

In his new video analysis, the seismologist explained that the position of celestial bodies, including Earth, Mercury and Saturn, can lead to strong seismic activity on March 3-4 or March 6-7. The intensity of earthquakes these days, according to Hougerbits, can reach seven or even eight points, which would be considered a mega earthquake.
“During the first week of March, there may be several seismic events of magnitude greater than six. There are two scenarios: either a major seismic event will occur around March 3 or 4 <...>or with some seismic enhancement on March 6 or 7, at full moon,” the seismologist explained.
Hougerbits added that a scenario is possible in which a “seismic lift” is observed on March 3-4, followed by more intense seismic activity on March 6-7 at the full moon.
“There’s no way to know for sure, but the first week of March will be extremely critical. We may see earthquakes above magnitude seven or eight,” he said.
Hougerbits designated the west coast of North America and the deep Kermadec Trench in the southwest Pacific Ocean, as well as the Kamchatka region, the Kuril Islands, northern Japan, the Philippines and the Pacific coast of Indonesia, as risk areas.
