The head of the Interior Ministry of Moldova, Anna Revenko, announced on Monday February 27 the strengthening of security measures in the face of the threat of destabilization of the situation in the country. It is reported by TASS.
The minister pointed out that the situation both inside the republic and in the region continues to be quite unstable.
“Law enforcement has increased security measures,” the news agency quoted Revenko as saying.
She said that among the measures taken are strengthening control at Chisinau International Airport, strengthening police patrols in public places, as well as monitoring the movement of funds.
Earlier it was reported that on March 14, Wizz Air will suspend flights to the Moldovan capital Chisinau for security reasons. The company manager’s decision was described as difficult, but responsible.
The carrier stressed that the safety of passengers and crew remains a priority for it.
