The geomagnetic storm that hit the planet has reached the third level of power, reported the Solar Astronomy Laboratory.
Waves of strong solar flares, which occurred on February 25 and 26, reached Earth. This has led to the formation of powerful magnetic storms, which only intensify during the day.
Experts explained that there are five power levels of magnetic storms – from G1 to G5. The current strongest storm in recent years, which formed on the evening of February 26, had already developed into a strong storm by noon on February 27.
It should be noted that the influence of magnetic storms can be felt by all inhabitants of the Earth. The geomagnetic storm is recorded by observatories around the world, including in Russia.
